The pressed ceramic is produced in a vacuum environment by spraying a molten ceramic mass in pre-fabricated form. The pressed ceramics is used for a maximum sparing therapy of the tooth. With this technology, prosthetic structures with high compressive strength are obtained – the material is pressed with high pressure, so it becomes mechanically strong, almost as hard as titanium.

The whole crown is made of one ceramic block, so it is aesthetic and does not contain a metallic part. Since the tensile strength is not great, the technology is not suitable for making bridges. With press ceramics, constructions with very small thicknesses can be made – even under 0.5 mm for minimal tooth scarring.
